The Humanscale Design Studio, based in New York City, adheres to the philosophy that good design achieves more with less. Function, simplicity and sustainability are central to all their designs. In thinking through the design and production of each product, they consider the materials and resources used, with the goal of creating an overall positive impact.
Humanscale is known for its collaboration with legendary designer Niels Diffrient, who designed many of their office chairs, including the iconic Freedom chair, the first adjustable chair without manual knobs and levers. Humanscale also collaborates with other esteemed industrial designers, including Don Chadwick and Todd Bracher. Their innovative designs have won more than 200 prestigious awards since 2007 and are displayed in various museums.
